I haven't posted in ages! D: I guess i've been too busy lately with JC and all.

2010's finally coming to an end, there are only 2 more days to go. :\ I must say this year has had huge ups and downs but it was definitely a good year and i'm not looking forward to 2011 when IB really really kicks in and I die.

Right now i wish i had more time (if only school started on 10 January, like other normal JC's!) so that I can get some work done to make up for the whole holiday of slacking! :D But you certainly can't blame be because the next time I'll get to enjoy is. a year later! By then, the party will really kick in.

Frankly this year was quite wasted because I didn't accomplish anything significant. :\ I didn't do well in my studies (partly because I was still in the post-O level mode), didn't finish my EETOK like i hoped to do, and I didn't improve in playing the saxophone! :( Looking back, i can't really think of anything good that happened this year except JC band fest which was a blast (except that I was really disgusted with my playing) and i made a lot of new friends! I also helped plan a camp for kids. :) but that's it.

It's alright though i guess that's why they call Year 5 the honeymoon year. :) 2011 will be greater. I will try to stay focused and driven! Do well for IB and then find a good uni, see the world, and maybe do more community service. Most importantly, grow closer to God.

Sigh i'm thinking if it's too late to change my EE topic or not. :( if i do, i'd have to go through another round of vigorous interviewing and surveying!

The other day when i was showering, there was a spider crawling on the wall, making its web or something. and as i stared at it, many different verbs to describe it came to mind - disgusting, annoying, pervertic, beautiful, graceful, majestic.
my thread of thought was really strange and i guess, this goes to show that our first impression of things don't really last and with more thought / more observation they often change, and this could all happen in a short time frame of even 10 minutes.

National Day Holiday Weekend(:

  • Aug. 10th, 2010 at 11:03 AM

I’m blogging from Siliso Beach Hotel now! Last year I was admiring it from outside and I was thinking that only lucky bitches get to stay there. But here I am! :D blogging from one of the hotel rooms. The facilities are really terrific and the whole design and architecture is just awesome. However, I am appalled and irritated by one thing – there’s no internet connection here or signal for my phone! L I feel cut off from the rest of the world. How am I blogging? You might ask. Well, I’m typing this down on Word so I can copy paste it to my LJ later. Smart huh! HAHA

7.08.10 ACSI BAND FOA

It was rather eventful. The group of juniors and I got there early to finish making the remaining props. After rehearsal, we were all excited for the concert! Then I saw Isaac and his friends. It was really awkward and I was panicking because I didn’t want him to be there! He was supporting his friend Je Sern. I feigned ignorance and went about preparing for the concert. The saxophone section always had plans to have an ensemble during the intermission but we only had the chance to practice half an hour before the concert began. So we were in the Audi practicing while random people listened and cheered us on. Pardon me for saying this, but every song the band played for the concert was horrible, and I’m ashamed to say that I had a part in making mistakes and contributing to the bad sound. L Theodore said the only nice song was A Movement for Rosa. And that wasn’t even good because the intonation was horrible. Throughout the whole concert, all the solos screwed up except for Keezhang (I couldn’t hear Nath’s solo because he went to the front of the stage). Throughout, there were wrong notes, intonation problems, and we weren’t together. The worst song was Time to Say Goodbye where the band actually broke down. Honestly, it was the worst concert I’ve ever played for. The Mario skit was okay, but but but I screwed up. I forgot to take the umbrella towards the end and… I don’t really want to explain further. After the skit I was supposed to change out of my pink clothes but then I couldn’t find my uniform! In the end it was actually on the other side of the stage. When I was walking out of the Auditorium some boy shouted “You’re married!” to me. I actually made friends with some of the juniors, from the hours of preparation for the skit, like Joshua and flower boy Leroy. XD Well on second thoughts, the skit was quite good considering we thought of the idea one week before the concert too and started preparing for it half a week ago.

I’m disappointed with myself and I’d say I didn’t play my best. However, the concert was still really fun and at least the audience wasn’t small as expected. I received loads of chocolates! Thanks Hwee Woon and Cheryl and Kai Sen! ;D and to others, Chu Xuan and Ben Ng for the sweets.

I just hope I recover really quickly from my cough and flu though! After the concert I went into a coughing fit and everyone was scared of me. L and I looked really bad. (Dennis thought I looked like that because I’m upset I didn’t get the post I wanted which is untrue because I decided before this I just wanna slack. Dennis is a retard.) I didn’t have water though so I drank from Kai Sen’s water bottle. He told me it was water at first, but after that he asked me “You know it’s not water right?” with that cheeky smile. It was alcohol.

Cherry had a weird encounter with Isaac on the bus. :\ Poor girl(s).

The saxophone section had a picture taking session after that! :D and somehow I was always standing next to ___. HAHA. Janan was being a retard, and Guoli asked to take a picture with me. Itwasweird.

Everyone who’s everyone headed down to Holland Village after that for supper. That makes me square for going home straight after. My mom didn’t let me go because my cough was really bad. L I’m square too for staying in this hotel room while everyone else is out there bathing in the warm Sun and enjoying the Luge ride, beach and flying fox. Oh yeah, there are loads of angmohs on the beach sun tanning now! Jocelyn should be here! She’d go crazy. J

Notes to self:

I MUST GET WELL SOON SO I CAN HAVE A SLEEPOVER TONIGHT WITH CHERRY AND GO UNIVERSAL STUDIOS TOMORROW.

Buy YOG tickets for Mel and I.

I had room service after that and a buffet dinner! It was a torture because I couldn’t taste all the good food. There was a wide range of dessert and Japanese food and Chinese food <3 I’m going back again when I’ve recovered.

I want to sleep

  • Jun. 27th, 2010 at 3:03 AM

Wow, it's been so long since i last updated. I guess i'm just too busy/lazy to nowadays.

This holiday has been a really good break for me and I dread going back to school. It would mean exams, intense band practices and IOP. The worst would be the Biology IAs and lessons. Not looking forward to those one bit. :( and i'm really scared for IOP because I generally just suck at Lit.
This is the first holiday where i didnt get a chance to shop in Singapore at all!:( The only place where i DID was in Genting, -.- and there aren't many shops there. Other schools get the Youth Day holiday off, but it's still the exam period for me:( Hope i can squeeze in some shopping after exams:D
As to why I didn't get a chance to shop, I was too busy during the first 2 weeks with lessons, band, and camps. I spent the next 2 weeks, going out to study. Obviously, I didnt get much done because exams start tomorrow and I haven't finished Bonding and Periodicity for Chem, Market Failure for Econs and like half of bio (which is A LOT). oh, and i haven't done a single math paper yet. So, i'm still really screwed for the exams. as usual.
On the bright side, I got to catch up with a lot of my friends and I really had a fun time with them(: I guess it makes up for not seeing Cherry at all this holiday! That's another first.
In my opinion, the best mugging place out of all the places i've been to this month is actually Hwa Chong. HAHA! it's really conducive, windy and warm there. (: and it's in closer proximity compared to ACSI. But dont call me a traitor just because of this!

Well, there's always December holidays to look forward to!:D Hope there'll be a really huge party organised.haha

On this day before the exams, I'm trying to update my iphone. I hate doing it because it's so troublesome! and because i've yet to transfer all my songs and such to my new laptop, i have to do the update here on my tablet PC. i love my tablet man but it's just so slow and laggy nowadays:( and it barely has any free space. To make the whole ordeal more troublesome and time consuming, i have to remove some programs from my Computer to make space for back upping my phone. :\ I guess the easier alternative would be to transfer my songs to my new computer haha but i'm kinda lazy to do that too. AHHHH stupid iphone. They should just let me update my iOS without having to back up my phone first! (if i dont, all the media in my phone will be erased, apparently) RAWRRRR.

SUP

  • May. 24th, 2010 at 7:26 PM

 It's a SUP now. :\
My mom didn't get me the laptop I wanted, but instead one with an ugly keyboard, or motherboard or whatever you call the whole keyboard part with the random buttons around it. I know i should be grateful that I got a new laptop, but I can't help but feel disappointed.

Also, the stupid water tank in my house is leaking so I can't use the shower or the basin much. :\ So, i'm forced to shower downstairs. It's not that bad! just that it's really inconvenient. I feel like some homeless idiot showering there. Hope the tank gets replaced soon! It costs $600 btw, which in my opinion is totally ex for a tank!

It's the last week of school! This means, handing up all the shit you owe the teachers. I've so much to do and it's kind of pissing me off. and my habit of procrastinating doesn't help either. The holidays don't look too relaxing either! :( Mugging, EE research, Band intensive, and remedials.

I have social problems too. pffft.

Lastly, MY MOM READ MY STUFF ON MY COM! #(*$&%*%^ HOW NOSY. WTHHHHH

FML, seriously.

Time REALLY really flies! It's alr week 7, and we're all going off to our different WOW destinations. I'm going off tomorrow night!
I'm looking forward to it, but at the same time, dreading it.
its a good break from sch, but it oso -sorry my keyboard doesnt et me type certain etters - means no facebook, no nice cean bathrooms and iving environment. i hope the hotels arent that bad! :S Actually, it's not really a break cos our teachers insisted that we bring along homework with us. there's chinese homework, bio homework, bio test to mug for, english, and prolly chem too. :( But, it's better than staying in Singapore!

Today, we received our schedule for the rest of our IB life. wait, what life? The life of a full time student, where there is no time to slack and enjoy our youth. haha Right after WOW is our term tests, then IOP and all the shit man. So, i really don't want WOW to come because it would mean no more slacking after that!:(
but i guess i shouldn't complain but take it in my stride.

I can't wait to bond with the class! :D

Speech Day 2010

  • Apr. 17th, 2010 at 11:40 PM

Initially, I planned to go for a really quick lunch with the 4C2ers then do my homework since my sunday was already going to be packed. However, upon reuniting with my old classmates again, I began to realise how much I actually missed them. I only left them at 6+, instead of the intended time, 3pm.

Speech day had been one of the sources of motivation for me to study before O levels - I wanted to score well enough to be able to be invited back to Crescent for this prestigious event. and for the past few weeks, i had been looking forward to it as well. and now, it's over:(

It was really heart-warming, going back to my alma mater and seeing all my old friends again! It felt like I was going back home.
A sense of nostilgia came over me, and I remembered the times when I was in Secondary 1 and everyone came from different primary schools. Now, everyone is again in different schools, but with Crescent imprinted in our hearts and minds.

I got to see all the teachers again, especially Mr Lee and Mr Ho, my secondary one teacher! We never expected Mr Ho to remember all our names. He still hasn't changed one bit. In lower sec, he kept mispronouncing Joan's name despite the countless times we tried to correct him. Today, when he saw Joan, he pointed at her and called out "Jo annnn!", mispronouncing it yet again. hahaha

After Speech Day, 4C2ers went to Orchard for lunch. Gosh, i really really miss having Orchard in close proximity to school! We crapped and joked and complained about our new schools. haha

Thanks to me, Jocelyn's dreams came true! I dared her to take a pic with an ang moh model. and she did. She couldn't stop hyperventilating for the next 20 minutes. HAHAHA. Joceeee, you're so racist against your own race:(

I finally got to go to Joan's house! haha it's AWESOMEEEEE. Really well-furnished and big. The best parts are the drumset and the walk-in closets! :O haha

Okay i should get started on work! bye!

I just got a new puppy from my cous! :D it's called Beee, short for Baby. HAHA.
it's a 3 month old toy poodle! and it's the cutest thing on Earth. The sad thing is, she has to be caged up when we're away, which makes her really upset and she'll start barking like shit. Hope she becomes toilet trained reall soon! then she can sleep with me and NOT pee on my bed like she did yeserday. ahah.

Tmr's gonnna be an eventful day! haha my first band concert with the IB band! Hope it'll be a success. and i'll play well for once. :\ haha After that, ACband concert! :D cant wait to hear Concerto Grosso. haha

Okay got to go sleep now byeee!

Shit, i'm getting really really really unfit. Dreading PE lessons! :( i might just faint or die if i have to run 2.4km. haha

Had my first official IB band prac today! I have lots to say about it, but i shan't here. :\ I bumped into a lot of people today. HAHA Denise, Cheryl(my neighbour), Suchi, Zi Hua, acband trombone section, LWW section, celestine and nic lee. :O

Mr Young's really a gentleman and a great friend. He cabbed to my house to give me some IB textbooks, ditched his acsian theatre friends to have lunch with me, makes me go high every time we meet, and treated me to a cab ride home. and crashed Hwachong with me!:D and more. Thanks, you! I really appreciate it. HAHA

RAHHHH! my class is kind of geeky. :\ at least more than me. But the geekiness isnt rubbing off on me. D: I'm still in the orientation/holiday mood! :( MUST STUDY MUST STUDY! Trying to psycho myself doesnt work either. pffft.
